This is perhaps the most common \u201cstereotype\u201d of what manufacturing looks like. In repetitive manufacturing, a specially dedicated production line churns out the same product or group of products according to demand. Very few changes are made in setup&#8211;and even if demand increases beyond capabilities, a second, identical production line is usually formed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li><b><b>Discrete. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is a production line that caters to a diverse set of products. Job shops typically produce small batches of specialized items, and instead of using production lines may instead use production areas.
